Safe drinking water is critical to human health and development. In rural sub-Saharan Africa, most improved water sources are boreholes with handpumps; studies suggest that up to one third of these handpumps are nonfunctional at any given time.

Since 1989 (that is exactly 34 years ago), Lindiwe Khumalo from Manyandzeni community has been challenged by community herds for her one source of living –quality weaving grass (lukhwane)! World Vision Eswatini intervened and fenced their cutting area in partnership with Eswatini Environment Authority.

In alignment with our five-year strategy (FY21-FY25), FY23 marks a three-year successive implementation of the strategy. The organisation continued to align its efforts to the strategy objective, in full recognition of the changes in the implementation environment or context.
