In a colourful ceremony in the Aileu village of Casamou on 27 September, over 200 people welcomed senior government officials, the Police Commander, mayor and World Vision leaders to the handover of a new clean water system.

World Vision began working closely with the local district National Directorate of Water Services (DNSA) in January to scope the project and involve the community in planning. People in the village began construction in March.

World Vision Australia funded the project which is expected to benefit over 500 people in Casamou.
