One Year On: Aranayake, Sri Lanka Flooding

One year after the the massive landslide in Aranayake, Kegalle District Sri Lanka, World Vision will continue its response in coordination with the government and other non government agencies in the next 9 months.

The response had a special focus on child protection and water, sanitation and hygiene making the life of the displaced community as comfortable as possible. Child Friendly Spaces provided the affected children a place of safety while helping them to recover and regain a sense of normalcy.

This report contains the highlights of the response a year after the disaster.
