Workshop on prevention of early marriage held in Muksudpur

A workshop on prevention of early marriage was held at Muksudpur in Gopalganj district on 29 January,2014 underWorld Vision Bangladesh's Child Safety Net Project.The workshop highlighted the role of Government and other stakeholders in curbing early marriage. The speakers opined that child marriage is the most important problem of the upazila that deserves united efforts to stop in parallel of laws.

Seminar on human rights and child rights held in Pirganj, Rangpur

On 21 January,PirganjADP organized a one-day seminar on human and child rights in collaboration with the 'Bajrokotha', a weekly news magazine at local level in Pirganj.The purpose of the seminar was to aware on the negative impact of child marriage, child dropout,child labor and malnutrition.The seminar was attended by local high government officials, teachers, students, journalists,GO/NGO representatives, religious leaders CBO leaders and staff of the ADP. Participants emphasized on collective actions to integrate childwellbeing approach in the various protection and development programs.
