For more than 30 years, World Vision and the World Food Programme (WFP) have partnered around a shared vision for a hunger-free world for the world’s most vulnerable children, families and communities. Together, World Vision and WFP provide assistance to disaster-affected people to save lives, improve health and education, and empower vulnerable communities to become self-reliant, now and in future.
The 2023 World Vision and WFP partnership report demonstrates the impact of the two organisations working together resulting from an extensive network of strategic, operational relationships at the national, regional and global levels.

Projecting the impact of prolonged food insecurity and education interruption on economic growth in Lebanon.
Lebanon grapples with multiple crises, including ongoing disruptions in education and
worsening food insecurity. The World Food Programme estimates that around 1.05 million
people are severely food insecure, while 700,000 children face disrupted schooling. To
gain a better understanding of the pressing economic implications of these
interconnected crises, World Vision Lebanon (WVL) commissioned Qualisus Consulting

Learning to See the Climate Crisis
Climate change poses a significant threat to global socioecological systems. Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) faces intensifying climate challenges, including rising temperatures and extreme weather events. Young people will bear the brunt of the changing climate. This research aims to explore how children and young people in BiH conceptualize environmental knowledge.

Behaviour Change: Evidence Summary for Safe Infant and Child Faeces Disposal
A review of 25 countries conducted in 2016 found that more than 50% of households in low- and middle-income countries practiced unsafe child feces disposal (UCFD), including as many as 84% of households in India. Although this often is connected to whether a household has an improved sanitation facility on the premises, the study found that even in households with latrines, as many as 64% practiced UCFD. Exposure to child faeces presents many of the same health hazards as open defecation, such as diarrhoeal diseases, environmental enteropathy, and impaired growth and development. Infants in low- and middle-income countries are particularly vulnerable to faecal pathogen contamination in the domestic environment due to mouthing behaviors during the exploratory stage of development. This brief summarises approaches and evidence for interventions targeting safe child faeces disposal.
