Women economically empowered through sanitation projects in Mozambique
Mozambique is still struggling with improper sanitation particularly in the rural areas. One of the problems in the communities is open defecation which leads to the spread of diseases like cholera. As a result, the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene project (WASH) by Mozambique is leading initiatives that are addressing these issues by not only promoting proper sanitation habits but also by encouraging the economical empowerment of women.
