Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) faces intensifying climate challenges, including rising temperatures and extreme weather events. Young people will bear the brunt of the changing climate. This research aims to explore how children and young people in BiH conceptualize environmental knowledge.

A Relentless Struggle in Southern Angola: The South West Angola Emergency Response Project relief amid food insecurity
Carolina is a mother, one of many who, in the context of the emergency, has been working to get around the challenging situation she finds herself in. Aged 42 and with her five children, she lives in the community of Bata-Bata, Humpata municipality in Huíla. In the short rainy season that is recorded in the south, Carolina works on her small plot, and in the dry season, which is most of the seasonal period, she does informal jobs to make ends meet for her children. The short rainy season is not enough for planting to be prosperous, and with the economic crisis worsening in the country, families are seeing episodes of food shortages become increasingly dramatic.

Since 2015, attacks in Chad by the jihadist group Boko Haram, has led to the deaths of hundreds, displacement of over a 100,000 and damaged the regional economy of the Lake Chad Basin (LCB). Current consequences of the crisis in the LCB have been catastrophic.

Invisible and Forgotten: Displaced children hungrier and at more risk than ever
The number of child refugees has more than doubled since 2005; on top of their increased vulnerability, they are facing hunger and malnourishment as well as complex situations that put their safety at risk. Many forcibly displaced children live in areas often overlooked by the international community and aid resources due to global priorities. Girls and boys are not responsible for conflicts, climate change, or responses to global pandemics, nor do they bear any responsibility for food supply shortages or hyperinflation, yet these issues continue to disproportionately affect their well-being and jeopardise their access to the education critical to helping pull them out of the vicious cycle of poverty and hunger.

World Vision New Avenues - Cash Roadmap 2.0 (FY24-27)
World Vision has facilitated the use of cash and voucher modalities for over 20 years, initially focusing on humanitarian disaster management, emergency response and recovery contexts. Since the Grand Bargain/World Humanitarian Summit 2016 commitments by key stakeholders, including World Vision, a rapid and steady increase of Cash Voucher Programming Modalities (CVP) has enabled vulnerable children, their families and community members to meet their basic needs.
