World Vision Afghanistan externally launched its campaign entitled “It takes all of us to end child and forced marriage.” In this event World Vision Afghanistan was joined by other partners and stakeholders, including government officials, religious leaders, university faculty and students, women council members, representatives from NGOs, UN agencies, community activist groups, and the media.

World Vision Afghanistan aims to address Child and Forced Marriage of Afghan girls by empowering children and youth, carrying out advocacy, and partnering with a wide spectrum of other activists to engage in community-based preventive actions. World Vision Afghanistan will soon begin implementing its start-up project: “Rescuing the Childhood of Afghan Girls.” This is the beginning of a five-year long campaign in which World Vision Afghanistan hopes to facilitate a movement of societal actors.
