In Melut County, World Vision continues to provide support to livestock farmers through vaccination campaigns. As of January 2016, more than 27505 cattle were vaccinated against hemorrhagic septicemia, anthrax and black water diseases in Paloich and Melut. In the same county, animal health workers supported by World Vision treated 1292 livestock (801 cattle, 491 shoats) belonging to 40 households.Major disease treated were pneumonia, liver flukes and anaplasmosis

In Melut County, 32500 IDPs in the Dethoma Camps, Kor Adar and Malek are receiving 330m3 of clean and safe drinking water per day from one large purification plant and 7 emergency water supply systems being supported by World Vision. To improve water availability and increase pressure at water points at the end of the water reticulation network in the Dethoma camps, World Vision has installed a 10m high 72m3 tank which will store and distribute water from the purification plant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgtTReTaP2E

In partnership with the World Food Program, World Vision South Sudan is reaching out to more than 14500 internally displaced people every month with  assorted food commodities in Melut County (Dethoma 1& 2, New Paloich and Kor Adar)

·     More than 2047 farmers have been trained in better farming methods and provided with High-Yielding seeds, as part of our food security and livelihoods program.  The FSL team is also providing technical support on post-harvest management of seeds to farmers in Wunamum, Kor Adar and Moletta and Dethoma. Through its education in emergencies program, World Vision empowers various IDP communities to Provide equitable education and psycho-social support to conflict-afflicted children. World Vision constructs semi-permanent classes, provides scholarstic materials, and trains teachers. In January 2016, 8 semi-permanent rooms (office, store and training facility) were constructed at the Dethoma IDP camp in Melut. Additionally, 8 classrooms were furnished with 112 desks at the same camp.
