Success in Haiti

Tuesday, January 7, 2014

World Vision has been working in Mika, Haiti, since 1996, and after 18 years of collaboration with children and families,  World Vision can step away, confident in the community's ability to flourish.

When the programme first started, only 20% of children went to school; now 90% do.

Before, families would be reluctant to go to health facilities, now this is a first thought when children get sick.

Once people barely produced enough food to feed their families, and now people are diversifying and producing more to sell and use the resources to cover other needs for their families.
