Crisis facts and needs

Hunger and conflict has taken a heavy toll on children and families in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, and Chad near the Lake Chad water basin.

The crisis has affected more than 10.7 million people across these four nations, including 515,000 children with signs of severe acute malnutrition. 

In light of the challenging and protracted crisis, World Vision is responding in Diffa, Niger and in Baga Sola, SouthWestern Chad. World Vision has worked to meet the needs of children in Chad and Niger for more than 30 years.
