World Vision celebrates Women in Maradi

Saturday May 13, 2017 marked the National Women's day in Niger. World Vision Niger celeberated the day with women of Maradi in a community durbar where guest were treated to drama performance on the theme "Education and Training of young girls guaranteeing the economic Empowerment of Women for sustainable development" and some good music.

In attandance was the Chef de Canton de Chadakori, Abara Jika who expressed his appreciation for all the implemented interventions of World Vision within his community and therefore tasked community members to participate fully in all WV activities.

He further declared the National Director, Albert Kodio as a Goodwill Ambassador and pledged his unflinching support for all WV activities.

In his speech Albert Kodio, National Director of World Vision Niger introduced the new global campaign that has been running since March, 2017 "It Takes A World" to end violence against children and further explained the campaign was to accelerate a movement of the masses and committed to keep children safe from harm..

He threfore entreated all present to join and support the campaign when it is officially launched in Niger.
