Achieving good nutrition through sustainable diets requires inter-sectoral action at national and sub-national levels. This event will explore how to achieve this with concrete examples of tools and approaches that have catalyzed multi-sectoral collaboration for nutrition in Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda (including a new video on World Vision's nutrition eLearning courses). It will also illustrate how links with ongoing initiatives such as the SUN Movement, strengthening capacity through FAO, and collaboration with national governments are important. Featured panelists will share their experiences to kick off a lively debate on using multi-sectoral coordinated mechanisms to scale up production and utilisation of nutritious foods.

Boitshepo Bibi Giyose – Senior Nutrition Officer for Policy and Programmes, Nutrition Division, FAO
