Empowering communities through Savings Groups

Kweyadondor is among the 688 Savings Groups monitored within World Vision's Area Dvelopment Programmes (ADPs) and Special Project sites in Sierra Leone.Kweyadondor SG is in World Vision's Gbane ADP in the Gbane Chiefdom, in Kono District, Eastern Sierra Leone.

The Kweyadondor SG is using its Social funds to construct a pre-school in Sowadu community.Moved by the successes of this group, a second group has emerged in Sowadu and are determined to create even greater impacts.

Savings Groups are a simple, transparent, locally run systems that address the need for safe, convenient means to save money and have ready access to small loans.Savings Groups have become a resilience mechanism for rural communities in Sierra Leone.
