Ensuring access to clean water and sanitation for displaced families in CAR
To ensure access to clean water and sanitation for families not only affected by conflict but also increasingly vulnerable during COVID-19, World Vision is installing facilities in an "integrated village" in Pladama Ouaka through funding from Aktion Deutschland Hilft. During a visit to the Central African Republic (CAR) from 27 February to 5 March 2022, our Chief Field Operations Officer and West Africa Regional Leader visited some of the newly installed WASH facilities to witness the impact, and celebrate achievements.

Ukrainian refugees grateful of people’s generosity keeping them hopeful and alive
Olena is one of the 4,700 Ukrainian being assisted by Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS) Project of World Vision Singapore. Families received bedsheet, hygiene kits, clothes for those with babies, pillow, mattress, pillowcases, first aid kit, USB power hub, and power bank.

Price Shocks: Economic gains masking a growing hunger and malnutrition crisis
World Vision's annual price survey analyses global food prices over the past three years. This Price Shocks report is a continuation of our 2021 and 2022 studies with findings showing a slight dip in the highest costs of living for some while others remain at previously marked crisis levels. This year's findings continue to underscore the uneven recovery from the socioeconomic shocks from COVID-19, inflation, and extreme weather and indicates a disparity of food prices, both in the current cost of the basket of 10 common food items and in the year-on-year comparisons. We provide insight into the year-on-year changes and share recommendations on mitigation for various audiences.

Safe drinking water is critical to human health and development. In rural sub-Saharan Africa, most improved water sources are boreholes with handpumps; studies suggest that up to one third of these handpumps are nonfunctional at any given time.
