Ukraine’s elderly struggles for scant medical care and food insecurity amidst ongoing war
It was the seventeenth day of heavy shelling, unceasing terror, severe food shortages, and darkness, when half of Iryna's and Nikolay's house burned to ashes. The ongoing attacks in Popasna, a small city in the Luhansk region of Ukraine, made them leave all their belongings and go west. As they settle in Dnipro, they are navigating the hurdles of displacement and war. World Vision's cash assistance helps them cover only part of their medicine expenses, and food supplies. As pensioners who rely on a meager pension and humanitarian aid, they find it more difficult to deal with the realities of war.

Faith leaders join psychological first aid initiative to help address mental health challenges in Ukraine’s war-torn regions
Twenty-eight church and youth leaders and volunteers participate in the preparation to launch the first Psychological First Aid for Faith Leaders in Ukraine. World Vision, and extensively the humanitarian community, recognizes the crucial role of faith leaders being the preferred go-to actors for emotional support of the internally-displaced and most vulnerable population.

World Vision International (WVI) has been working in Somalia for over three decades and is one of the largest international non-governmental organisations in country, providing essential health and nutrition services.
Our presence in Somalia since 1993 has allowed us to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health (MoH), regional and district health offices, local partners and community actors to expand health and nutrition programming nationally. World Vision is headquartered in Mogadishu, with main regional offices in Baidoa, Doolow, Garowe and Hargeisa, plus 13 additional sub-offices across Somalia.

World Vision signs $33M climate resilience project with the Government of South Sudan and UNDP
In a significant step towards climate resilience, the South Sudan Government, through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and World Vision International South Sudan, has signed an agreement to implement the Watershed Approaches for Climate Resilience in Agro-pastoral Landscapes (WACRESS) Project. The project, which is aimed at building the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change impacts while restoring ecosystems, holds immense potential for our region.
