Luis, a dedicated individual in Papua New Guinea, reflects on his second year with the Gigaso Cooperative, managing a successful cacao nursery. His efforts yield 20,000 rootstocks, promising economic impact by providing 300 seedlings to each farmer. In its third year, the project aims to enhance farmers' skills, improve cocoa block management, and foster financial independence. Chairman Koti expresses satisfaction with the cooperative's progress, envisioning a sustainable future. The project's success, supported by the Australian NGO Cooperation Program and World Vision, signifies the transformative potential of sustainable cocoa farming for community resilience.
