Public gatherings during iftar (evening fast-breaking meal) will not be permitted during this holy month of Ramadan. Evening mosque prayers are limited to 12 people at a time. All educational institutions will tentatively remain closed until September.

Invisible and Forgotten: Displaced children hungrier and at more risk than ever
The number of child refugees has more than doubled since 2005; on top of their increased vulnerability, they are facing hunger and malnourishment as well as complex situations that put their safety at risk. Many forcibly displaced children live in areas often overlooked by the international community and aid resources due to global priorities. Girls and boys are not responsible for conflicts, climate change, or responses to global pandemics, nor do they bear any responsibility for food supply shortages or hyperinflation, yet these issues continue to disproportionately affect their well-being and jeopardise their access to the education critical to helping pull them out of the vicious cycle of poverty and hunger.

COVID19 Emergency Response - Situation Report 7 - 15 May 2020
Lock-down measures will likely continue until 30 May, with restrictions on public transport and flights being lifted after Eid (23 May). The government has issued guidelines on reopening businesses, schools and transport. Some shopping malls and markets are already open on a limited scale.

The role of Faith Leaders as Environment Stewards
The target 13.3 of the Climate Action in the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) urges to improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning. Considering that, World Vision under the Enough Campaign created conditions to be held the Provincial Inter-Religious Conference in Tete province, Mozambique, under the motto “Sustainable Use of Natural Resources, a Gift from the Lord”, on the month of August. The participants of this Conference included government members and Faith Leaders.
