World Vision is actively involved in a number of initiatives and international codes of conduct that set standards and benchmarks for governance, management, partnership and accountability. These include:
- the Sphere Project (Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response),
World Vision also funded and oversaw the publication of a pocket version of the Transparency International Handbook on Preventing Corruption in Humanitarian Operations with Transparency International in 2010. This guide to recognising and preventing risks due to corruption draws on the experiences of humanitarian agencies – including World Vision – and is available for download to humanitarian workers everywhere in English, French and Spanish.
