It is against this backdrop that World Vision Zambia has launched the Enough Campaign, a transformative initiative aimed at addressing these persistent challenges. Dollow, Somalia faces severe health issues, with acute malnutrition prevalent due to insufficient food and milk intake, further aggravated by disease outbreaks and a lack of healthcare and WASH services. The situation has led to a spike in malnutrition cases, especially among children under five, exacerbated by the region's enduring drought that has severely limited access to clean water and sanitation facilities. This has resulted in the spread of diseases such as Acute Watery Diarrhea (AWD) and measles.

The ongoing drought in Zambia, marked as the driest agricultural season in over four decades, has deeply impacted communities across the country. With over nine million people in 84 districts experiencing heightened food insecurity, this crisis underscores the urgent need for resilient solutions to safeguard livelihoods, ensure food security, and protect the most vulnerable, especially children.

From having nothing at home and borrowing food from nieghbours, our programme participants are receiving timely support to help combat child hunger and malnutrition. In 2024 alone, we reached 296,796 people through food distributions, cash assistance, and livelihood support programmes.
