10,000 chlorine bottles donated to Zambia to curb cholera outbreak
World Vision in Zambia has donated 10,000 bottles of chlorine to the Ministry of Health through the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI) to help prevent a cholera outbreak after neighbouring Malawi reported an outbreak.
During the handover ceremony at the ZNPHI offices in Lusaka on November 25, World Vision Zambia Associate Director for Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs, Bernard Zgambo, said the donation comes from the organisation’s Christian values and inspiration from its faith in Jesus Christ to be vigilant at all times and help those in need.

Warm Welcomes, Lurking Tensions
The response to those displaced by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has been a hugely positive one. Some even say there has been more expressed and enacted sympathy in the West towards refugees from Ukraine than any other large-scale displacement crisis since the Second World War. Communities in major refugee hosting countries like Poland, Romania and Moldova, who have seen a combined total of over 5.7 million refugees cross over their borders already, have shown an incredible level of hospitality to people from Ukraine.

Learning to See the Climate Crisis
Climate change poses a significant threat to global socioecological systems. Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) faces intensifying climate challenges, including rising temperatures and extreme weather events. Young people will bear the brunt of the changing climate. This research aims to explore how children and young people in BiH conceptualize environmental knowledge.
