Building healthier communities: World Vision Georgia’s impact on Public Health and awareness
The pandemic hit vulnerable families the hardest, including children, women, and people with disabilities. Many struggled with worsening economic and social conditions, leading to poor mental and physical health. Routine vaccinations dropped, and access to healthcare services became more difficult. To address these issues and support the recovery of public health, the organisation has launched its first major healthcare initiative, focusing on strengthening Georgia's health and child protection systems. Family doctors and social workers, were trained on key health topics such as immunisation, Hepatitis, HIV prevention, HPV, TB, and STDs.

We are a group of four researchers from the Huaphanh province / Xamnuea district in Laos who conducted a quantitative study on the impacts of climate change and disasters on children in our communities. In recent years, our communities in the high mountains have faced many natural disasters.

DR Congo: Hundreds Of Pupils Trained To Protect The Environment On International Tree Day

Through talks by experts and a tree-planting activity, pupils were able to understand their crucial role in protecting the environment. The article also highlights the impact of this awareness-raising activity on young people, reinforcing their ecological awareness and their commitment to preserving natural resources. Ultimately, this day symbolises the importance of reforestation and tree conservation for future generations.

Amplifying children's voices: The power of child-led research in development programming
Child-led research is about giving children a voice. Listening to their hopes and aspirations means that our projects and programmes must be more responsive to their needs and more impactful on their future. World Vision would not deliver projects in local communities without first talking to the people who live and work there and involving them in the decisions that affect their lives.
