In our ongoing quest to improve access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) a fundamental necessity for safe, healthy living and the socio-economic development of communities, World Vision Ghana has implemented a number of impactful interventions.

Over the past 40 years, World Vision's water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) initiatives have expanded significantly and now provide access to clean water for around 100,000 people each year.

Investing over USD192 million annually, World Vision has reached 28.7 million people in recent years to access cleaner water, 20.9 million to access improved sanitation, and 34.7 million to adopt safer hygiene practices.

Dawlatyar district, where World Vision operates, was among the hardest-hit areas by floods in Ghor last year. The lack of access to safe drinking water heavily impacted children like 14-year-old Majid. World Vision, in partnership with communities and leaders in Ghor, prioritised the restoration of the village’s water supply system. The rehabilitation provided access to clean water for 100 families, profoundly transforming their lives.
