“Why hide your money off shore when you can protect it, enjoy the best return on investment money can buy – and you won’t find yourself in the headlines for the wrong reasons,” says Chris Derksen-Hiebert, World Vision Director of Public Policy and External Relations.
“You can do this by investing in children’s and women’s health, for example, which is such good value we are putting $3 billion (USD) towards it over the next five years.”
“Just imagine if this group of people, this sector, was fully engaged in fighting poverty – the impact would be significant. Life changing,” says Derksen-Hiebert.
“Tax revenues dwarf spending on foreign aid and development. These corporations, people, leaders and the wider industry play an important role in addressing both the lack of resources and the lack of political will that prevent us ending the deaths of children, and ending violence against children.”
