World Vision's 2022 report highlights achievements and new commitments to children and persons with disabilities, showcasing progress and future goals

This article highlights some of the advocacy activities carried out by children in Kasaï Central during the Global School Feeding Week. Despite being affected by malnutrition, the province benefits from a large-scale school feeding program by World Vision that helps reduce malnutrition cases and ensures food security for students in the beneficiary schools.

In East Asia, millions of women, girls, and people with disabilities face persistent inequalities that limit their access to essential services and lifelong opportunities. An estimated 43 million children in the region live with disabilities, many of whom are denied education and healthcare. Poverty forces nearly 1 in 10 children into child labour across the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, 1 in 5 girls are married before their 18th birthday, hindering their education and increasing their vulnerability to poverty.

Turkana County faces harsh droughts and floods, endangering communities and livelihoods. To boost resilience, World Vision Kenya, with funding from KOICA, launched the K-DREAM Project, a three-year project (2022-2024), equipping locals with life-saving skills and cash relief.
