World Vision delivers critical winter support to Ukraine’s displaced, as needs grow dire
Oksana, originally from Kharkiv, has faced the immense challenges of displacement, war, and separation from her family while caring for her 11-year-old son. These are struggles shared by many internally displaced people in Ukraine. Through World Vision’s winterisation programme, Oksana has found much-needed support. The programme provides financial assistance to help families like hers manage critical winter expenses, including heating, utilities, and other essential needs, allowing them to better endure the harsh season.

Empowering Adolescents Through Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in the West Bank
Using an evidence based approach (EASE), World Vision is providing mental health and psychosocial supports to 1000 adolescents and 1000 caregivers in 34 villages of the West Bank to help them to manage stress, anxiety and trauma due to the current crisis as part of a project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Integrated Health, Legal, and Social Support for Abuse Survivors Now Available in Northern Mozambique
A new Integrated Support Centre (CAI) will open in Murrupula, Mozambique, on April 2, 2025, at the District Hospital. This initiative by SDSMAS and World Vision Mozambique under the “Every Girl Can” project will offer comprehensive support for women and children affected by domestic violence. The inauguration will include a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize their partnership. The centre aims to enhance the support network and help prevent violence in the region.

Cyclone Jude's Devastation in Nampula: A Trail of Destruction and Displacement
Cyclone Jude, which originated in the Southwest Indian Ocean Basin, rapidly intensified, bringing winds of up to 195 km/h and torrential rainfall exceeding 250mm in 24 hours. Preliminary reports indicate that 2,155 people from 380 families were affected, with one fatality and 18 injuries reported. The cyclone's powerful winds and heavy rains completely destroyed 380 homes and partially damaged 28 others, leaving countless families without shelter.
