DR Congo: GIK - Aid that Restores Human Dignity
This article illustrates the success of the GIK program in DR Congo. In 2024, World Vision, through its Gift-In-Kind (GIK) program, provided Jean with a new wheelchair, restoring his autonomy and dignity. Thanks to this gift, Jean can now move freely, work more efficiently by repairing pots and charging batteries, and actively participate in community life. For him, this wheelchair is not just a transport tool; it’s a second chance, proof that he has never been forgotten.

Back to School Campaign opens a future without barriers for Yassin and the displaced children in Syria
With the launch of a “Back to Learning” campaign, Yassin and thousands of other children returned to school, eager to embrace the opportunities that had long been out of grasp. Parents were engaged, teachers trained, and psychological support workers provided to help children adjust. Thanks to support from the Syria Cross-border Humanitarian Fund, 20,000 children have received educational services and psychological care.

THAILAND CHILD-LED RESEARCH: Impact, Understanding and Development of Children and Youth Participation in Climate Change and Disaster Action
We are a group of young researchers in Thailand who conducted a study to better understand how climate change and disasters affect children in our communities. Through this research, we hope to contribute to the raising of awareness on the impacts of climate change and disasters in our communities. In recent years, our country has experienced severe heat waves due to climate change. This interrupts our daily activities, including our schooling and our families’ livelihood, and has also caused us children and adults alike to experience many health problems.
