World Vision Lanka and Sarvodaya, hand in hand, partnered with World Vision Australia to reach out to farming communities. The initiative was themed RISE Lanka - short for Resilient, Inclusive Sustainable Economic development, for Sri Lanka. The initiative’s core focus was to address the food insecurity and nutrition needs of Sri Lanka's most vulnerable population in Monaragala, Badulla, Bible, Meegahakiula, Lunugala, Rideemaliyadda, and Welikanda.

Kamo Kukuwa, a dedicated Village Health Assistant and farmer, opted for a vasectomy to support his wife’s health and prioritize nutrition for their family. As part of the BEAN project, he advocates for family planning and sustainable farming, inspiring his community to embrace healthier practices and improve children’s nutrition.

The first Child Nutrition Dialogue, organised by World Vision Central African Republic, provided a platform for young voices to advocate for better nutrition. Children participating in the dialogue emphasised the crucial role of parental involvement in ensuring nutritious school meals.

How a Child Sponsorship Program Empowered a Young Girl from Georgia to Achieve Her Dream of Becoming a Doctor.

On June 1st, 2023, World Vision Laos launched 'It Starts With Me' to advocate for children's right to a healthy planet and urge Lao citizens to combat climate change.

A baseline survey finds underweight or malnourished children in a community in Papua New Guinea. Through the WOVEN project, the Positive Deviance Hearth approach is being implemented in this community to help these children eat healthily. The PDH approach will see children become healthy and then graduate them with certificates for their commitment to getting healthy through this approach.

Virtual Learning Exchange on Social and Behavior Change for Nutrition in partnership with SUN - CSN (Scaling Up Nutrition – Civil Society Network). In addition to speakers from WV and SUN-CSN, we will have speakers/presenters from WFP, UNICEF, Alive& Thrive Vietnam, Nutrition International, Pakistan, and Gems Heart Philippines. This collaborative learning exchange will highlight best SBC practices, innovative SBC tools, and encourage robust dialogue through breakout room discussions.
