Once struggling with eroding soil and failing crops, he transformed his land—and his future—through training from World Vision. Learning sustainable farming and reforestation techniques, he revitalized his fields and embraced farming as a business. As an extension agent, he now shares his expertise with fellow farmers, helping them combat soil degradation and improve yields. Through his thriving tree nursery, he not only provides nutritious food for his family but also earns an income, proving that with the right support, farming can be a pathway to prosperity.

These are struggles shared by many internally displaced people in Ukraine. Through World Vision’s winterisation programme, Oksana has found much-needed support. The programme provides financial assistance to help families like hers manage critical winter expenses, including heating, utilities, and other essential needs, allowing them to better endure the harsh season.
