Drought and climate-change response initiatives to benefit families in Narok County
Families and communities in Narok County are set to benefit from transformative climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives, aimed at building their reliance to the adverse effects of global warming, including drought. This follows the launch of a KSh.177 million project that will be implemented by World Vision in partnership with the Narok County Government, through funds from KOICA.

Hard Lessons
World Vision(WV) and Action for Humanity (AFH)’s “Hard Lessons” study today looks into Syrian children with disabilities’ exposure to protection risks in Lebanon and Northwest Syria. In the midst of deteriorating socio-economic contexts and growing barriers to inclusive education, displaced and refugee Syrian girls and boys with disabilities were found to be more exposed to protections risks such as child labour and early marriage.

According to the UNOCHA report, 5.4 million are internally displaced out of the 17.7 million in dire need of humanitarian assistance. Over eight million Ukrainians fled the country to neighboring countries like Moldova, Romania and Poland, among many others.
