From Ukraine to Moldova, Lidiya relives on her 83-year journey as a refugee
In July 2022, Olena and her mother sought refuge in Chisinau from Kharkiv. A kind-hearted Moldovan family welcomed them into their home. To enable the support, the host family is provided with emergency cash assistance by World Vision from a WFP-funded project. It helps families cope with increased utility expenses, while aiding Ukrainian refugees.

With an average annual budget of US$4 million, World Vision Zambia’s WASH programme is addressing goal number 6 of the SDGs, which is to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
