Listen to the Future in East Africa
Today, children in East Africa face an array of challenges. Conflict disrupts lives in Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan and Ethiopia, forcing families to flee their homes and depriving children of safety, stability, and access to education. Of particular concern, is the dire food insecurity in the region, occasioned by the polycrisis of conflict, climate change and economic hardship.

Hunger is a greater threat to children than ever before. As climate change and conflict threaten food security, the youngest members of society are struggling to eat. We believe there is enough political will across Africa to bring child hunger to an end. But we need to act now to turn that will into concrete action. So that every child can survive and thrive.
