FMNR: Regenerating Trees to Tackle Climate Change

A low-cost and innovative afforestation approach known as the Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) is helping farmers to effectively tackle the adverse effects of climate change (such as long dry spells) and to establish alternative sources of income in Kenya. The FMNR approach promotes the growth of trees from already existing tree stumps or naturally occurring tree seeds.
