Solutions to violence against children: South Sudan

Despite the magnitude and entrenchment of violence against children, evidence increasingly shows that it is a problem that can be solved. Violence against children is a universal problem affecting children in every country in the world.

It comes with considerable costs for individuals and society. Violence often significantly harms children’s health, keeps them from school or social participation, and restricts them from realising their potential as adults.

World Vision published a paper to the discussion on effective policies and programmes that can address violence in different forms across different contexts.

This case study presents the findings of a project tackling issues of physical and sexual abuse in South Sudan.
