Stephen Lockley
Stephen oversees our Finance, Supply Chain, Shared Services, Information Technology, Legal and Real Estate teams to make sure we maximise our resources.
Stephen has led World Vision’s global financial and administrative work since February 2019, after four years as Chief Financial Officer.
As a chartered accountant, Stephen worked in banking and corporate finance for nearly 25 years in a variety of senior roles in companies including Charterhouse Bank, Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC, and Wyvern Corporate Finance. He continues to work with the private financial sector, currently as a non-executive director of United Trust Bank, and formerly Congregational & General Insurance, and EuroDekania.
With a heart for mission-centred work, Stephen served as non-executive vice chairman of the UK board of Mission Aviation Fellowship, a Christian charity operating relief flights. He took it one step further in 2010, taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer of VisionFund International for more than four years before moving to World Vision.
Stephen is passionate about ensuring World Vision practises wise stewardship of the resources that God entrusts to the organisation. Under Stephen’s leadership, World Vision has adopted new global cost controls and budgeting processes, with steady increases in annual yield to field programme spending.
