Lessons Learned from a Survivor of Trafficking
"Being trapped in another country is like being in prison" - Chetra* says. This father of two was tricked when he travelled from his home in Cambodia to work in Thailand. Instead of working at a factory, he wound up on a fishing boat, where he was routinely beaten, starved and worked endlessly. After enduring months of horrific work conditions, he jumped overboard and swam his way to freedom. In this video, Chetra shares the lessons he's learned from the experience and his advice for other job seekers looking to work abroad.
