This impact report provides an overview of World Vision’s work in the East Africa Region from October 2023 to September 2024.

As the Ukraine Crisis Response enters its fourth year, the impact of war continues to devastate the lives of millions, particularly children. Over the past three years, World Vision has reached more than 2 million people, including nearly 1 million children, providing critical support such as education, mental health services, cash assistance, livelihoods, winterisation and protection initiatives. Despite these efforts, the challenges remain immense. Millions of children are still displaced, struggling to access the basic needs every child deserves, and deprived of their rights to safety, education, health and home.

Leveraging AI for Educational Data Analysis and Synthesis - World Vision

This report presents the voices of 69 children—33 girls and 36 boys—aged 14 to 17 from 10 countries, sharing their experiences and perspectives on migration. Through consultations, they discussed key themes, including the drivers of migration, its impact on children, identity documentation, challenges in civil registration, and recommendations for strengthening civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) systems. The participating countries were Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

This report covers the third year of our Global WASH Business Plan (fiscal years 2021-2025). It also is our first annual report since World Vision committed to reach 30 million people with clean water between FY23 and FY30.

Responding to children’s urgent call for climate justice, World Vision has developed the first organisation-wide Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action (ESCA) Strategic Roadmap. World Vision completed the first stocktake of ESCA -related programmes implemented during financial years 2023-24 across 69 countries.
