Our 2024 Impact Report is Out!

Discover the incredible strides we've made this year, despite the enormous challenges we continue to face in the region. From groundbreaking projects to inspiring stories, our annual report reflects hope, transformation, innovation, and resilience. This year, we reached 28 million people, including 16 million children.

Girls and boys in East Africa need our hope, partnership, and action today more than ever. Between protracted conflicts, climate crises, and economic instability, 2024 brought new and varied challenges. These challenges have presented both heartbreak and opportunities for World Vision to make a greater difference in the lives of the most vulnerable across our region.

It is urgent and undeniable that we ensure no one is left behind. As humanitarian needs continue to grow, we hold a significant responsibility to extend our impact and meet the needs of millions of children and their families so they can thrive and realise their dreams.

With 62 million people facing food insecurity and over 10 million displaced by conflict, our mission is both urgent and vital. Every day, our dedicated teams and partners work tirelessly to deliver life-changing support by responding to emergencies. In 2024, we responded to over 12 emergencies, including the East Africa Hunger Emergency Response, the Northern Ethiopia Crisis Response, the Sudan Crisis and Migration Emergency Response, and our Sustained Humanitarian Refugee Responses in Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Sudan.

With over 900 projects and interventions throughout our region, our work spans nine countries: Burundi, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

We are thrilled to present our very first World Vision East Africa child-friendly impact report for 2024,  which children were part of creating.  Children are key stakeholders and agents of change. This special edition is designed to be accessible and engaging for children, highlighting the incredible work we've done together to make a difference in their lives and communities. 

Children are at the heart of everything we do, their voices, dreams, and well-being drive our mission.  We are excited to share that amid the ever-growing humanitarian needs we reached 16 Million children in the #EastAfricaRegion.
