Amplifying Children’s Voices in G20

World Vision is supporting the in-person participation of three children in the G20 in Brazil. They are Ryan, 16 and Giselle, 14 from Brazil and are members of the Amplifying Children’s Voices Digitally (ACVD) platform, and Emmanuella from Ghana who was invited by the first lady of Brazil after she handed over to the Brazilian First Lady the petition letter from children’s advisory group during the UNGA 2024. These young changemakers will bring the voices of children and young people at G20 Summit. They have prepared social media content and videos ahead of the summit.

A petition letter for G20 developed by ACVD members from Brazil, Mexico and endorsed by ACVD members from Chile will be shared to young leaders from other G20 countries for support and endorsement. The letter is calling governments political leaders to increase investments on healthy and nutritious school meals and expand coverage to reach more children and include adolescents in all countries, with a particular emphasis on low-income countries. This call to action is aligned to World Vision’s policy brief for G20 and the ENOUGH Campaign.
