Decide for today and for my future

Members of my community firmly believed that the future of a girl is in marriage. So from 13 years, I also believed that school couldn’t offer me a future especially with the poor economic situation of my family.
But the community child protection committee put in place in my village with the help of World Vision changed our way of thinking. After two years break from school and the family will to give me in marriage, I revised my decision and I returned to school with the support of my mother.
Today I'm 15, I'm in 6th grade. Although I am behind my age group in school, I am determined to finish my studies and become a doctor later.
I wrote a song about the benefits of education and I sing it to my friends to make them aware of the importance for them to remain at school.
Now, I know that school is the best place for me to learn, to understand and make the right decision for me and my family.
