World Vision Afghanistan Annual Report - FY23
Tuesday, April 2, 2024

2023 was a year of change for millions of Afghans, and for humanitarian organisations, including World Vision. Nevertheless, and with your support, between October 2022 and September 2023 we were able to positively affect the lives of over 2.9 million Afghans in four provinces, 4,184 villages and to meet our targets for the year.

We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our donors and partners for their valuable commitment. Without them, World Vision Afghanistan would not be able to transform lives of Afghan girls and boys. We also acknowledge the inspirational commitment and steadfastness of our staff without whom none of this would have been possible.

In Western Afghanistan, World Vision provides health and nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), protection (within the health sector) and education services to the most vulnerable children, their families and their communities.

In partnership with donors and communities, World Vision Afghanistan was able to:

  • Provide treatment for 778,181 people including 292,969 children
  • Provide food, cash and livelihood assistance for 1,008,462 people including 542,220 children
  • Provide access to clean water and hygiene services for 137,126 people including 64,077 children
  • Provie education services for 141,858 people including 127,773 children, and
  • Provide protection support for 26,819 people including 15,497 children.

Thank you for being part of our journey!
