KOICA country director Ms. Youngsuk Jun tours World Vision Uganda projects in Abim district

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) country director Ms. Youngsuk Jun tours World Vision Uganda projects in Abim district. KOICA is one of our lead partners in the greater Karamoja subregion, providing funding to empower communities in agriculture, water, sanitation and hygiene. Because of KOICA funds, World Vision has so far been able to improve the wellbeing of 11,160 girls and boys in Abim district.

This through empowering farmer groups plus providing clean and safe drinking water to various communities. More than 45 farmer groups have been formed and empowered with technical skills on animal husbandry, agriculture and supported with more than 420 oxen.In total, 1778 farmers have been reached by World Vision support in Abim district in Lotukei and Nyakwae subcounties. Under WASH, World Vision has been able to construct 38 borehalls in Abim district. This has seen 3,344 households able to get clean and safe drinking water.
