World Vision's Contribution
to the Ministerial Conference
World Vision is involved in 9 different sessions and events at the 2024 EVAC Ministerial Conference. The Global Director of Child Protection and Participation will moderate a high level panel on Child Protection System Strengthening where a number of governments will be interviewed and pushed further for to make commitments to end violence against children. Framework to Action to strengthen Child Protection System will be launched. Additionally, a Framework to Action to strengthen Child Protection Systems will be launched.
World Vision-supported children from Latin America are going to lead the only child-led session in the entire conference concerning the centrality of children and their protection in humanitarian contexts. Children from this group will also present their key messages to the technical event of the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action. Additionally, two children involved in World Vision Programming will participate in the official children's delegation of the conference.
World Vision is also leading the Seat at the Table Event, where CSOs and Governments will be brought together to discuss how to re-invent their partnership in order to deliver EVAC commitments. World Vision will share research the impact of catalyzing faith leaders and communities to end violence.
World Vision representatives will also speak at the INSPIRE event, sharing how we are leading in multi-sectoral approaches to end VAC. World Vision will also co-lead the Ending Child Marriage event, where governments, children, youth, CSOs, and survivors will challenge each other on how we can do better in this field. Lastly, World Vision will co-moderate, with Save the Children, an event on practical examples of System Strengthening success and challenges.
