Small team- tremendous success
On June 17, World Vision International in Azerbaijan received the annual influential public “No Child Left Behind” award. World Vision Azerbaijan was recognized as the outstanding, international, child-focused non-governmental organization of the year. The prize was presented during the ceremony organised by the Child Rights NGOs’ Alliance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Ministry of Education among others.
The award was delivered to Giorgi Devidze, the program director of World Vision’s office in Azerbaijan . During his speech, Mr. Devidze mentioned the importance of the work in child-well being, the organization’s accomplishments and future goals of advocating for the rights of the country’s most vulnerable children.
The “No Child Left Behind” national public award was founded by the NGO Alliance on Child Rights with support of UNICEF and the European Union in 2003. The award aims to promote and develop children rights in Azerbaijan. This prize recognizes World Vision’s contributions to improving the living standards of the most vulnerable children in Azerbaijan by providing access to the health facilities and eradicating social inequalities.
The nominees for the public figure, local NGO , international NGO awards were carefully vetted and reviewed through a rigorous process. The final selection was made by an independent panel of distinguished jurors.
