It Takes Me to end physical violence against children
World Vision Bangladesh integrated the Global 2030 Agenda in its program plan. As a part of it, WVB is promoting “It takes me to end physical violence against children-at Home, School and Work place” campaign addressing the Sustainable Development Goal (16.2). World Vision Bangladesh believes that physical violence against children harms psychological and physical growth of the children. It aims to promote a culture of positive discipline and positive parenting in order to impact the lives of 5 million most vulnerable boys & girls by 2021.
Our Target:
World Vision Bangladesh aims to protect 5 million of the most vulnerable boys & girls from physical violence at Home, School and Work place by 2021.
Bangladesh Context:
- Proportion of children aged 0-4 years who experienced any physical punishment and/or psychological aggression by caregivers in the past month is 50.8 %
- Proportion of children aged 5-17 years who experienced any physical punishment and/or psychological aggression by caregivers in the past month is 51.0 %
- Proportion of parents or caregivers who feel that their community is a safe place for children at Community is 49.8 %
- Proportion of parents or caregivers who feel that their community is a safe place for children at School is 56.8 %

Significant outcomes for the campaign:
- Change Social norms, attitudes and behaviors which condone physical violence at home, school and in the work place are eliminated.
- Effective policies and functioning local, regional and national child protection systems support protection of children from physical violence at home, school and in the work place.
- Multispectral collaboration between sectors and actors is supported to ensure the protection of children from physical violence at home, school and in the work place.

Our Call to end physical violence against children:
- Train parents to ensure the well-being of children that helps parents to end physical violence against children
- To establish the rule of law that results to end physical violence against children
- Increase child budget at local Govt. and empower community that will help to stop violence against children
- Allocate budget to establish child related law, policy and SDG
- Increase awareness among the mass people on ratified child related law, Act and policy.
