Marco Grazia
Marco joined World Vision International Global Rapid Response Team in 2016 as Education in Emergencies specialist to then move to the current role of Global Director for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action and Education in Emergencies - managing the Global Technical Unit which reinforces disaster management through strengthened capacities, systems and structures both engaging internally and externally; promoting integration in humanitarian and fragile contexts.
Marco represents World Vision International in several forums and networks. In 2021 he was elected as the Civil Society Constituency - INGOs’ representative in the Education Cannot Wait Executive Committee. He sits on the Strategic Advisory Group of the Global Education Cluster and the Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility; represents World Vision for the Steering Groups of the International Network for Education in Emergencies – INEE and of the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action; co-leads with Plan International the Global Cash and Voucher Task Team for Education in Emergencies. In 2021 Marco joined the Geneva Education in Emergencies Hub, becoming an active member of its Working Group.
Prior to working for World Vision Marco managed and supervised complex education and child protection programs in emergency settings, early reconstruction phases and in developing contexts in Middle East Sub-Saharian Africa and Balkans for various NGOs and for the Italian Governmental Aid Agency including as a social worker in charge of children in conflict.
