Maybin Ng'ambi
Maybin Ng’ambi is the Regional WASH Director for the East Africa Region (EAR). Maybin has more than 18 years of experience in the WASH sector and 12 years working with World Vision. He has worked as WASH Technical Advisor for WV Rwanda on secondment and has held several other positions within WV including WASH Specialist, Water Resources and Supply Specialist and Zonal WASH Manager. His most recent role was WASH Technical Programme Manager for WV Zambia, where he was instrumental in designing and implementing a US $50 million five-year “Finish the Job” programme.
Maybin holds a Masters in Water Resources Management from UNESCO IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft, the Netherlands. A Dornsife Scholar with a Postgraduate Certificate in International WASH from the University of Nevada, Reno, USA, he also holds a BS in Irrigation Engineering from the University of Malawi, Lilongwe. Maybin received an award from Drexel University for developing and mentoring women in WASH programme leadership, and he is passionate about gender equality and social inclusion (GESI).
Maybin is married to Patience and they have 4 daughters. He worships at The United Church of Zambia, Chelstone Congregation in Lusaka. He enjoys running marathons with Team World Vision Zambia and is a keen cyclist.
