Sarah Atukunda is the Senior Manager- Supply Chain at World Vision Uganda. Sarah is a proactive results-oriented economist and purchaser with over fourteen years of progressive experience in supply chain management and purchasing. She has worked with multinational and national private companies including Non-Government Organisations. Her expertise lies in managing suppliers, strategising for cost-effective deals and optimising procurement processes. Sarah has served in various capacities as procurement officer, assistant supply chain manager, procurement manager, procurement consultant, procurement and logistic manager and senior supply chain manager.

Atukunda holds a graduate certificate in international Water, sanitation and Hygiene from the University of Nevada Reno, a Master’s in business administration (Finance) from Makerere University, and Professional Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Diploma in procurement and supply, all from The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply-United Kingdom (CIPS UK). She also has a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Economics from Makerere University, among other qualifications.

Her career accomplishments demonstrate expertise in needs analysis, vendor relationship management, contract negotiation and administration, cost reduction, and team leadership to facilitate improved financial performance and organisational success. With key experience in both domestic and international procurement, her additional skills in effective communication, problem solving, system implementation and staff direction have paved a successful way to driving successful procurement executions and ensuring achievement of business objectives.
