Dr Ivan Satyavrata (India) began serving on the World Vision India board in 2010 and has served as it's chair from 2015-2017 and and again from 2020-2021. He joined World Vision International's board in November, 2016 and has served as its chair since 2022.  He also serves on the Board of Global University-India and is the Chair of the Board for Project Rescue Board of Elders. 

Before his roles at World Vision, Dr. Satyavrata was the President of the Centre for Global Leadership Development from 1998 to 2006. He also served as the Senior Pastor and Chairman of the Assembly of God Church and Mission in Kolkata from 2006 to 2022. The church has since honored him with the title of Pastor Emeritus.

Ivan completed his Th.M. degree at Regent College, Vancouver, Canada, and his Ph.D. through the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, Oxford, U.K. 

Ivan has spoken and taught widely in India and abroad and has authored a number of articles and four books, including: Holy Spirit; Lord and Life Giver; God Has Not Left Himself Without Witness, and Pentecostalism and the Poor. Ivan and his wife, Elizabeth (Sheila), partner together closely in their ministry. The Satyavratas are a close-knit family, cherishing time spent with their children and grandchildren, who are the pride and joy of their lives.
