Rutshuru Households Integrated Development
From January 2015 to May 2018, World Vision in DR Congo has undertaken the “Rutshuru Households Integrated Development” as a three year Area Recovery Program(ARP) supported by World Vision Korea. The program was designed based on the context-specific risk analysis and the vulnerability mechanism to provide beneficiaries and administrative authorities with more sustainability, socially positive influence and strengthened resilience. The project has implemented a multi-sectorial approach to improve food security, livelihood, WASH, education, and child protection along with the increased capacity of communities to address poverty. World Vision has reached out more than 25,000 children and adults in two health areas of Shinda and Nyarukwangara in Rwanguba Health Zone, by promoting a safe and supportive environment.
